At River Youth there are three things we want every student who walks through our doors to know: You are loved. You are not alone. You were meant for more.
Through worship gatherings, small groups, events, retreats, Bible study, and opportunities to serve, teenage students grow in their faith in God, connect with others, and impact their communities with the Gospel.
Get Involved
Grades 6 – 8
Middle schoolers find belonging with other students, are poured into by leaders who love Jesus, and experience worship and teaching centered on God's Word. Through large group teaching, small group community, Bible study, and unforgettable events, students encounter God's truths and make friendships that last a lifetime.
Grades 9 – 12
High schoolers experience large group worship and small group connection through Bible study and activities that shape their walk with Christ, their relationships, and their desire to do incredible things for God's Kingdom. Teens find their identity in Christ and radiate His love to their peers and communities through serve opportunities.
Family Partnership
As a parent, you are the primary influence in your teen's spiritual journey. As your church, we are committed to come alongside you and champion your student as they grow into the man or woman God has created them to be. We're here with resources and encouragement for your family.
Student Devotional
One Life is all about finding one person in your life you have the opportunity to impact for the sake of Christ. We pray this resource encourages students in their relationship with Jesus and their love for the many who have yet to know Him.
Every small group leader completes our Child Protection Program and is equipped with sound biblical training to disciple your student. We take seriously the trust you place in us with your teen.
FAQ
Middle school and high school ministries meet weekly during the school year for worship, games, preaching, and prayer. We also break into small groups based on grade and gender, where we go deeper in discussion about the Bible and pray for one another.

Small groups are broken down by grade and gender. Each group is guided by two or more trained volunteers who provide care, leadership, and biblical teaching. Every leader completes our Child Protection Program before serving.
Our annual middle school and high school retreats happen in the winter and early spring. From Friday evening to Sunday evening, we experience powerful worship and teaching, connect with other students, and have way too much fun doing it.
Locally, middle school and high school students have the opportunity to serve during a week-long summer mission trip, serving our Downriver and Metro Detroit communities. Globally, high school students have made an impact on trips around the world.
