FAQ

Common Questions

When do students gather? What do they do?

Middle school and high school ministries meet weekly during the school year for worship, games, preaching, and prayer. We also break into small groups based on grade and gender, where we go deeper in discussion about the Bible and pray for one another.

How do students get involved in a small group?

Head to the New Here area at our Student Ministry gathering and ask about getting plugged into a small group. We'll be happy to connect you with your new group and leaders.

What's the structure of small groups?

Small groups are broken down by grade and gender. Each group is guided by two or more trained volunteers who provide care, leadership, and biblical teaching. Every leader completes our Child Protection Program before serving.

What retreats are available for students?

Our annual middle school and high school retreats happen in the winter and early spring. From Friday evening to Sunday evening, we experience powerful worship and teaching, connect with other students, and have way too much fun doing it.

What mission trips are available for students?

Locally, middle school and high school students have the opportunity to serve during a week-long summer mission trip, serving our Downriver and Metro Detroit communities. Globally, high school students have made an impact on trips around the world.

Can I serve with the Youth Ministry?

Yes! This teen ministry is only possible when people like you step up to guide and love our students. To join our volunteer team, reach out through our Connect page.
