Please note: All requests must be accompanied by the correct forms and supporting proofs (bills, estimates, documentation, etc.) and will be reviewed by the Board of Directors before any assistance is approved.
How It Works
The River Bible Church is a small congregation with a big heart, and benevolence is one of the ways we love our neighbors in Rockwood and the wider Downriver community. When you submit a request, it goes to our pastoral team first, and then to our Board of Directors, who review every request personally. We ask for documentation — a bill, an estimate, a lease — not because we doubt you, but because we are stewards of gifts given by our members, and we owe it to them to be careful and transparent with every dollar.
What We May Be Able To Help With
Assistance most often takes the form of help with rent or utilities after a job loss, groceries during a hard month, or a critical car or home repair. Every situation is reviewed on its own merits, and we will always tell you honestly what we can and cannot do. Sometimes the greatest help we offer isn't financial at all — it's prayer, a listening ear, and a church family that keeps showing up after the check is written.
